I got up, yawning, and still feeeling a bit drowsy. I walked downstairs and dad was making some omlets for breakfast. "You want one?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I kinda wanna go for a stroll in the forest."
"Ok." my dad said. I quietly walked to the forest.

"Dad." I called when I got to the bottom of the staircase. "Are you making breakfast?"
"Its already made." My father replied. "Your brother and I ate already. John left for work."
I snickered while sitting down at the table. I had forgotten that my brother got a job.
I quickly ate then went out to the forest (in human form) to see if Ashley was there.

I sat down on a huge branch that looked like a log the way it was lying in the grass. I looked around, the cool morning air blowing in my face.

"Hellooooooooooooo!" I called as I opened the front door.
"Someone seems happy." My dad said, typing away at his laptop.
"I think I want to get a job." I said as I sat down next to him.
He stopped typing. "Where at?"
"I dunno. Somewhere in Winter Town Central, of course. It'll keep me busy this summer. And I'll make money."
"I don't know..." He said.
"Please? Why can't I?" I asked.
"Aren't you a little young?"
"I'm fifteen!" I shouted. "John got his first job when he was my age."
"Fine, fine. I guess I was saying that because my job is right here on my computer."
I laughed. "Must be fun being an author." I rolled my eyes. "I think I'm going to Winter Town Central to look for open jobs." I put my hair up and slipped on my flip flops then ran out the door.

I went inside, and my dad was there on the couch talking to Evan. "Hey, can I get a job dad? I need something to do, and maybe I can find Evan, or even Deven a job."
"Alright, but don't take jobs on first sight. Tell which one you're taking."
"Ok. I guess I'll walk." it didn't really matter to me.

I raced into the living room where my dad still was.
"Hey dad. I'm applying for a job at some kids clothing store." I said, showing him the application.
"Ah, nice." He said, reviewing it. "You should fill that out now so you can get it back to them as soon as possible.
I nodded and ran up into my bedroom. Once I was there I picked up my cell phone and dialed Ashley's number.

Ashley didn't answer so I decided to just go ahead and fill out the application. It asked usual questions like your name, age, phone number, address, etc. After filling it out and reviewing it I put it in a folder and shoved it into my bag. Since I had just recently came home I wasn't going to immediatly run back and turn it in. I decided to rest first and have lunch.

"Oh, hey Gina's it's me, Ashley. I got a job at a salon, not the best place for me, but," I sighed. "Oh well. It's something."

"I don't yet. The store opened up a week ago, so no one has even noticed it yet, pretty much. I haven't filled out the aplication yet though."

"Oh. I just filled out mine. It asked what I would mostly like to do there and I said "Cashier/Desk". Pretty much meaning I wanted to sit at the desk all day."

"Well I think that maybe I would like switch with comeone else working there. Like, work partly at the desk then partly helping customers. Oh by the way, the job I'm applying for is at a kids clothes store."

"Oh. Well a sign was blocking the sign at my place. I'm gonna fill out the form now."I said.

"Cool." I said glancing at the clock. 12:29. "I'm going to go drop off my application. Bye." I said, hanging up then running to the front door.

"Ok cool, bye." I walked and filled out my form. Of course it wanted to know the basic things, name, age, address, even email. Then I told my dad I was done and I was going to turn the form in. I ran out to Winter Town.

"Hi dad." I said, entering the house. "I gave them my application."
"What did they say?"
"They would call me with the news." I smiled, feeling like I had just auditioned to be on a TV show.
"Your first job.. so exciting."
"Yeah, yeah." I muttered and went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat.

I leapt onto the couch. "I got the job but don't know the details yet. She didn't seen to care who she hired. Strange. It starts in the morning at 10 AM.@

I spent hours being lazy and watching stupid, daytime television. After watching a two hour movie I fell asleep for two hours until I was woken by the sound of my ringtone.
Without checking the caller ID I answered the phone, guessing it was Ashley. "Hello." I tried to make my voice sound like I hadn't been asleep on the couch.
"Hello, this is Meredith from Kids Klothez! You got the job!" Her perky voice screamed into the phone.
"Ohmygosh, thank you so much." I said.
"Report in tomorrow at around 8:30 and I'll give you the details."
"Okay thanks. Have a nice day." I said, trying to sound official.
"Bye!"
"Yesss!" I screamed after I hung up.

I yawned and watched TV, suprised Deven hadn't joined me after the TV was on for more than twenty minutes. I fell asleep, and, surprisingly, it was 10 o'clock. I had to hurry. I ran out the, yelling "Im gonna be late for work!"

I walked home. "What was that?" I muttered to myself. "What was what?" My dad asked.
"I swa this strange looking person out in the forest." I said.
"What do you mean?"
"Whatda think? I didn't get to see it in detail because i ran, but, I don't know." I sat down at the table.

"Hey." Evan greeted me as I walked through the door. "How are you?"
"Still bored. I just sat at a desk all day. You?"
"Deven and you dad went out somewhere, and I was supposed to stay home to wait for you. I told them I knew a little bit of how to cook, so I'm also cooking dinner.
"Make anything/ I'm staving. My boss, Mrs. Ruby she calls herself, didn't let me have a lunch break. She doesn't have ANY other workers and she was afraid she 'might mis some vauable costumers.'" I imataited the last part in a high voice.
"Yeah, but I only made some rice so far."
"I'll have some, but I'll guarntee you im probably going to end up eating it all.

I rushed inside and immediatly jumped onto the couch.
"So... how was your first day?" My dad asked, setting up the table for dinner.
"Ehh..." I said. "We barely have any customers. And my boss is so preppy and annoying." I laughed. "I might want to get a new job..." I wondered if he would be mad.
"I could understand why." He said. "But stay for the rest of the week then see how it goes. You never know what could happen." He brought the rest of the food to the table. "Call your brother down, please."
"JJJJJOOOOOHHHHHNNNNNN!" I called up the stairs. "DINNER!"
"A bit loud." My dad said, laughing.
I smiled and started esting right away, not waiting for John. I was starving.
