Fall in The Forest

[Ashley]

I walked silently, looking back to make sure Pine was still there. Did I think she was suddenly going to disappear? Apparently. I spotted Aubrey's house, and stopped near the edge of the trees. "Wait here for a sec," I said to Pine as I walked up to the house and climbed up the tree next to her window carefully, sitting down on a branch, and waited to see if Aubrey would answer. I knocked lightly on the window.

[Aubrey]

Feeling startled, I turned to my window.
"Ashley?"

[Ashley]

"Yep," I answered. " I have a new friend," I laughed.

[Pine Bailey]

Pine gazed amazingly at Ashley. Very flexible. "You need to teach me that someday!" she called to Ashley, who made her think of monkeys.

[Aubrey]

"Hi, I'm Aubrey." I called out the window.
I looked around my room and realized that if any of my family members heard me they would wonder what I was doing.
"Um, I'm gonna meet you guys outside." I said and jumped out from the window. I knew that was stupid to do around a human but I suspected that Ashley's friend was a werewolf, too.

[Ashley]

"One day, yes," I laughed once I got down from the tree. Then I whispered very quietly to Aubrey so Pine wouldn't hear: "She's human." Then walked and stood beside Pine.

[Aubrey]

I swallowed hard. Human, wow. That wasn't really like Ashley but alright.

[Ashley]

"This is my new friend, Pine. She just moved into Lupas Town, and I think she'll be at our school, which reminds me of school, it starts in a week doesn't it?"

[Pine Bailey]

Pine gasped at Aubrey's skills, too. Maybe Ashley taught her? Pine's eyes shifted to the whispering of the girls. She hated secrets, especially from other girls, but she just shrugged it off. "I hope so. I don't want to be crammed in my house all the time. I hate school, but the first day is okay I guess." She sat down on a rock, and she gazed at the small trickling stream. Pine looked at Ashley and Aubrey and said, "are all your friends in gymnastics?" Pine blinked, and remembered Ashley's quick tree-climb, and Aubrey's majestic bound, and a perfect landing. It was only a second ago.

[Aubrey]

"I think school starts next week." She said and glanced around, making sure her other siblings weren't around. "Ummm, do you guys want to go somewhere else? Like to Winter Town Central? I asked, hoping to be anywhere else than at her house.

[Ashley]

"Sure, I kinda wanted to check out Winter Town again. And to answer your question Pine, yeah we used to do gymnastics, but the building was bought out by some company a few years ago, and sadly there are no another gyms around here, that I know of." I lied. "Who's car should we take?" I asked.

[Aubrey]

I was sort of surprised that Ashley could make up such a good lie on the spot like that.
"We could take mine." I said, heading towards my front yard. "Let's hurry."

[Ashley]

"Ok." I walked somewhat slowly over to Aubrey's car and then waited for Pine.

[Pine Bailey]

Pine hurried, and felt somewhat odd. The tone of Ashley's voice. This was odd to her. Pine slipped into the car shyly, and gazed inside. "You have a wonderful car," she muttered.

[Ashley]

After I got into the car I smiled and asked Pine, "Have you ever visited Winter Town before?"

[Pine Bailey]

"Nope." she said. "Is it cold there?" Pine asked, laughing.

[Ashley]

"Yeah,' I smiled, "In the winter. It almost freezes the town over. Lupas Town is the only place that doesn't get hit that badly. Apparently, whoever founded these towns weren't very creative with names." I laughed.

[Aubrey]

I tried to stay somewhat quiet. I wasn't used to being around human so I wasn't sure of what to do. Silently, I backed out of the driveway.

[Ashley]

I stayed quiet the rest of the short ride to Winter Town, or at least it felt short. It's funny how awkward a situation Pine doesn't know she's in. She doesn't know that she's sitting in a car with a werewolf and a vampire. I smiled to myself as I looked out the window.

[Pine Bailey]

ic: Pine twiddled her fingers. "So uh.." she started, "wonderful weather we're having?" She couldn't help but giggle at herself. There was nothing else to talk about.

[Ashley]

"Yep," I nodded. "I loved fall, almost as much as spring. Or summer." i didn't really know what my favorite season was. Maybe it was fall.

[Pine Bailey]

"I like summer because thats when people get out of school and hang out. Go swimming.. relax.. kick back and watch some TV.. yeah it soothes me. Mostly because I like laying in my bed watching TV with some cookies in one hand, and milk in the other, and seeing all the people sweating outside, when i'm in an air conditioned house." Pine said, daydreaming. She snapped out of it. "Anyway, my second favorite season is Winter. Maybe it's because i'm by a warm fireplace and people outside are shoveling. Maybe it's because of Christmas, Jesus's birthday. My favorite holiday EVER!"

[Ashley]

"Yeah, I guess I love all the seasons, really. Winter is nice with all the white snow, and you can sit by the fireplace, drinking hot chocolate or something, but Deven hates hot chocolate." I laughed. "But I love the crisp, cold air of fall, too, it feels so nice."

[Aubrey]

Still, I remained silent. There wasn't much that I had to say. Seasons didn't exactly effect me. I stay the same temperature all the time anyway.
I though about this as I pulled into Winter Town Central.

I ran off in the oppposite direction until I arrived at the small, shallow river. I saw Ashley waiting for me. I miss Summer already, I thought to myself as a slight breeze swept by, making my fur shift.
