Spring in Winter Town

[Aubrey]

I sat in the back of my brothers van as we sped down the road towards our mansion baried deep in the woods.
"Oh by the way Aubrey stay away from strangers. You could reveal our secret easier than you think." My brother Riley warned me.
"I'm not like that. Gosh guys. I just talked to someone. It's nice to socialize with someone you aren't realted to." I said, crossing my arms.
"Hey, we aren't really related." My youngest sister, Heather, said, laughing.
"Whatever." I said, laughing a little. I looked out the window and saw our familiar house. I hopped out, clutching my backpack and ran up the dirt driveway.
"Hello Rebecca. Hello Gaberiel." They were my "parents" if you couldn't guess. I scampered up the tall staircase into my room. I sat down on the couch and pulled out my homework. Anything to distract me from my annoying siblings would be nice. But after a few questions I just threw the notebook on the floor and layed back, closing my eyes.

[Aubrey]

My younger sister Alexis walked into my room and sat next to me.
"I need to tell ya this now and I need to tell ya quick." She said rushing her voice.
"What is it?"
"When I talked to you earlier I mentioned their kind and what I meant was your little friend... is a werewolf. I cannot believe you didn't smell it! It was like a wet dog just came inside from running out in the rain for a half hour." I noticed my sisters voice getting faster and faster.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Why are you going so fast?" I asked.
"Well the others told me not to tell you and if they hear me they will get very upset. Anyway I am going to go now..." My sister walked out of my room, closing the door behind her.
Well of course this would happen to me. The only friend I ever meet just has to be a werewolf. How did I not notice?? I didn't know what to do so I needed to escape. I opened my window and leaped down. Then I ran with my special vampire speed away into the woods for however long it would have to be.

[Aubrey]

It was still only second period in school but I was already home. I walked inside the house to see my "parents" watching the news.
"Aub, why are you home so early?" My "father", Gabriel asked me.
"I was very hungry. I haven't hunted for a while now so I decided that I should do it now so there were no incidents in school."
"Very good, Aubrey." My "mother", Rebecca said.
So I ran out the back door and into the forest.

[Aubrey]

I rushed into the house and up to my room. Now Ashley knew I was a vampire and she might hate me (who knows) but at least its all settled.

[Aubrey]

All of my brothers and sisters entered my room at once. Drew, Heather, Alexis, Thomas and Riley. They told me I was not allowed to hang out with Ashley and she was trying to put us in danger.
"Shes not doing anything to us but I won't be talking to her anyway. Gosh just leave me alone!" I screamed and pushed them all out slamming the door afterwards.

[Ashley]

When I woke up i decided I had to go to Winter Town. Aubrey said she lived there. Or was that there house? I thought, looking at the house that burned my nose. I ran to one of the window, and next to it was a tree. I slowly climbed the tree, knowing this was extremely risky. Should I do this? Too late now.

[Aubrey]

I heard some shaking outside of my window. Like an animal in the tree. I hated when that happened. I just wanted to relax like a normal human but I would never be able to do that because I'm not normal. So I stayed on the couch and tried to ignore the little squirrel or whatever it was outside of my window.

[Ashley]

" Aubrey? Aubrey? Please don't start yelling or anything. It's just me, Ashley. Don't be angry. Just wanted to ask a question, or two. Like why do you keep running away from me? Is it because I'm a werewolf? And who hit me? Did you see?! " I said in a very quiet voice.

[Aubrey]

"I didn't see who hit you with the car. I didn't get there until after it happened."

[Ashley]

In a more regular voice I said, "Why do you keep running away from me? I caught your scent out in the forest, or at least that burning scent, and followed it, but it keptrunning. I figured it was you or your family." I cocked my head and looked at the other window, which I saw someone in.

[Aubrey]

"Listen, vampires and werwolves don't really get along. Soon enough you will understand that. And if I were you I would leave. If my family sees you it could get ugly."

[Ashley]

"Alright. But I don't know all this stuff. I don't even know why I'm a werewolf. My now half-brother said I had the right genetics. But I'll leave. Could I visit you another time or is this my last time seeing you? Maybe we should meet in the forest if you wanted to see me, I guess. If it is, bye!" Then I slid down the trunk of the tree, and ran out into the forest quickly, running all the way back to my house.

[Aubrey]

She was gone now. I was completely okay with that. I wasn't really sure yet if I should meet her in the forest. I guess it would be good for her to know who she was and who I was.

[Aubrey]

I skurried into Alexis' room.
"Alexis, come here."
"Yes?" She said, looking up from her magazine.
I grabbed her arm and pulled her into my room. "I need to tell you something, Lex."
"And that is?" She asked, looking at the door.
"Theres another werewolf that just moved here. And unlike Ashley she actually understands the fued between vampires and werewolves." I said in a quiet voice so that my siblings wouldn't hear.
"Oh great. That makes like soooo much easier." She sighed.
"I went to you first 'cause I'm not so sure if I should tell the others." I said.
"I think you have to." She explained. "If this girl is gonna come here and terrorize us, like trying to hurt us, they need to know. We need to be prepared not surprised when it happens. And who knows, maybe that little friend of yours is gonna turn, too."
"Ashley? No, I don't think she's like that. She knows that as long as we aren't hurting anyone there is nothing to worry about." I told her.
"People change, Aubrey!" She shouted.
"But-" I started.
"I don't care. But if you don't tell them by tomorrow I will." She said in a serious tone.
Then she was out the door, slamming it behind her.

[Aubrey]

Right when I opened the front door Heather stood there.
"I printed you the directions so you can leave right now."
"Thank you so much. And the rest still don't know anything right?"
"Yes. Now go."
"Bye." I said and ran out the door into my car.

[Ashley]

I followed Aubrey, and stayed outside her house by the door while I waited for Aubrey to finish getting directions.

[Aubrey]

I started the car.
"We should be driving for a while." I said. "Heather gave me a bag of chips for you incase you get hungry. As you know, we don't eat."

[Ashley]

"Yeah I know. I'm fine. Went hunting last night." I said as I hopped in the car.

[Aubrey]

"Oh okay, good."
I backed out of the driveway and drove very fast trying to make the amount of time shorter.

[Ashley]

"So, what area of town is he in now?"

[Aubrey]

"I don't know. I just have the directions." I waved the papers in the air.

[Ashley]

"'Kay then." I sat leaning back.

[Aubrey]

We drove for a while more in silence, just focusing on getting to our designated area.
"Don't be afraid of Drew. I don't think he'll do anything."

[Ashley]

"Im not afraid of him." I said. "But I'm not exactly about meeting him either."

[Aubrey]

"Honestly, hes not a bad guy. I find it very hard to believe that he started the fight."
