Summer In The Local Pool

[Gina]

"Thats good." John said as he pulled into the pool parking lot.
"Thanks John." I said, grabbing my bag. "I'll call you when we're ready to get picked up."

[Ashley]

"Bye John! Hey, i think I see some chairs other there." Surprisingly it wasn't that crowded.

[Gina]

"Cool, lets drop off our stuff there." I said, walking over to the chairs.

[Ashley]

I threw my towel on the chair so no one else would take our chair. I got some sunscreen on, and said, "Do you wanna jump in?"

[Gina]

"Sure." I said, making sure all of my stuff was on the chair.

[Ashley]

I dove into the pool. Even though the chlorine burned my eyes a little bit, the water felt soooo good.

[Gina]

I jumped in, nothing fancy, just a normal jump. When I came up I felt like I never wanted to leave. I closed my eyes and lay on my back, the sun hitting my eyelids.

[Ashley]

I pushed off the bottom of the pool and came up. "Feels good doesn't it?" I laughed,

[Gina]

"Yesssss." I said. "Oooh! A diving board!" I said and climbed out of the pool. I went over to where the diving board was and surprisingly there was no line. So I hopped on and did a flip into the water - something I had mastered last year.

[Ashley]

"Impressive." I said as soon as she went underwater. I got out of the water and dove off of the diving board.

[Gina]

I got up from the bottom of the 10 ft deep water and shoke my hair so that little drips flew off.

[Ashley]

I let all the bubbles go to the surface before I did, shaking my head wildly and then went back underwater.

[Gina]

I went off the diving board a few more times then got tired of it and rested in the more shallow water.

[Ashley]

I was suprised at how quiet it seemed to be underwater. I jumped off the diving board and then swam over near Gina. "When should we plan on leaving?" I asked.

[Gina]

"I don't know... whenever you're ready. I just wanted to cool off."

[Ashley]

"Me too." I jumped into the pool once more, and sat down on the steps.

[Gina]

I lifted myself out of the pool without using the steps and walked over to the chair that had my stuff on top. I looked at the clock on my cell phone and saw that we had been at the pool for almost an hour. I put on my towel then went up to Ashley and said, "I'll call John in a minute, I'm gonna get something from the snack bar first."

[Ashley]

"Okay." I decided to get out of the pool, too, and I wrapped my towel around me.

[Gina]

"Hi, can I have one soft pretzel?" I asked the man behind the snack bar counter.
"Sure." He said and took one out for me. I took the pretzel and handed him his money. There was another girl behind the counter, stocking shelves who looked familiar. I wanted to ask who she was but I thought that would be rude so I left. I picked up the phone and dialed John's number.
"Hey, can you pick us up?" I asked.
"You've only been there for like an hour."
"I don't care."
"Fine, I'll be there in like 15 minutes."

[Ashley]

I dried off and sat down, waiting for Gina to come back so I could ask her how long until John would be here.

[Gina]

"He'll be here in about 15 minutes."

[Ashley]

"Oh. Anything new?" I said.

[Gina]

"No." I said. "Hey, theres a girl working at the snack bar who looks really familiar..."

[Ashley]

"I'll go see. Plus I kinda wanted a pretzel or some kind of snack."

[Sarah]

I didn't know why i was down here. Was that, Ashley? Weird. "I think I just some one I knew." "Great. Now let's focus on work." Another employee mumbled, and I said, "Whatever."
